Having a Goal to deliver food Through drones at India, online ordering Program Zomato on Wednesday announced it has Obtained a Lucknow-based startup TechEagle Program that Functions Only on drones, for an undisclosed Amount.
TechEagle can help Zomato make a hub-to-hub shipping system powered by hybrid multi-rotor drones, the business said in a statement.
“We’re at the first phase of aerial creations and therefore are taking baby steps towards developing a tomorrow wherein consumers may anticipate a drone to supply the meals that they purchased online,” explained Deepinder Goyal, Founder and CEO, Zomato.
“Our initial’delivery endeavor’ now is to look for multi-rotor drones that may get a payload below 5 kg and put up drone delivery systems for decreasing the final mile shipping leg,” additional Goyal.
Zomato has over 75,000 restaurant spouses supplying food delivery providers throughout over 100 cities in India.
It acquired Runnr this past year and now has over 1.5 lakh delivery spouses as part of its very last mile shipping fleet.

The acquisition came following Zomato declared earlier this week which Durga Raghunath, presently Chief Executive Indian Express Digital Media Services, will soon be joining the firm as Senior Vice President-Growth, effective December 21.
