iOS 12.1.2 Update With Bug Fixes for eSIM Activation on 2018 iPhone Models

Unlike a number of the current versions, the hottest iOS update does not incorporate any noticeable changes but includes few bug fixes to enhance the experience. Among other modifications, the official changelog states that the iOS 12.1.2 update carries bug fixes for eSIM activation on the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. The update also addresses an issue that could impact cellular connectivity in Turkey especially on all of the 2018 iPhone versions.

Apple’s formal support page that lists its safety updates confirms which iOS 12.1.2 doesn’t have any printed CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) entries. However, as per a previous Reuters report, the latest software update includes software tweaks from China to essentially address”any possible issue” about Apple’s compliance with a court order that prohibited the sales of its elderly iPhone models.

Last week, Qualcomm stated in a declaration that a Chinese court had ordered a ban on sales of several elderly iPhone models for violating two of its patents. The listing of worried iPhone models included all elderly by the iPhone 6s$19,499 through the iPhone X.

In addition, the two Qualcomm patents which were taken under consideration by the court were reportedly related to switching between programs and resizing and reformatting photos before placing them as a wallpaper.
