Huawei Open to European Supervision, Says Executive in Speech

Chinese telecoms giant Huawei Needs cyber-security to be Regarded as a technical rather than ideological Dilemma and is Amenable to Oversight by European Authorities to prove the Stage, a senior Business executive is expected to State on Thursday evening.

Liu will reiterate that Huawei hasn’t and would never hurt the interests of customers or nations.

“Cyber-security should stay as a technical problem instead of an ideological matter. Since technical issues can always be solved through the ideal solutions while ideological issue cannot,” Liu will say in the organization’s Chinese New Year reception in Brussels, according to a copy of his speech seen by Reuters.

“We’re always willing to accept the supervision and suggestions of European governments, clients and partners.”

Liu will say that Huawei devices, tested by multiple regulators and telecoms operators, haven’t caused any critical cyber-security breaches.

The USA has launched a campaign to convince European allies to not use equipment in the world’s biggest producer of telecoms gear for 5G networks, citing safety risks.

The French Senate on Wednesday rejected proposed legislation aimed at toughening tests on telecoms equipment despite the US warnings. Germany has said it wants high data security criteria for its 5G network.
