Facebook Messenger Spotted Testing Dark Mode in Select Countries

Facebook had declared a massive redesign of its popular Messenger program back in May last year, during its yearly developer conference F8. Ever since then, the business has been rolling out changes gradually across the world. Facebook Messenger is a favorite app contemplating a large number of people on the societal network use it for communication with their friends and family. Facebook had promised a dim manner in its Messenger program this past year and it seems like the company is currently testing it in many countries.

Well known program teardown expert Jane Manchun Wong tweeted which Facebook has begun testing dark mode within the Messenger app, but just in certain countries. Wong also included that the new dark mode is not available everywhere yet and Facebook problems a’Work in Progress’ warning within the app for the identical reason.

Earlier, Wong was able to trigger the feature and she later tweeted screenshots of Messenger’s upcoming dim mode. As anticipated, it transforms the white background colours into black and the text to white. However, since Facebook states in its warning, there are a couple of subtle details which are still white.

Back in October last year, Facebook’d launched a revamped version of its Messenger app.

Facebook has not shown where it’s currently testing the new dark mode in Messenger. The attribute can be found beneath the’Me’ section in Messenger in case your nation is presently supported for the exam. The warning issued while the attribute is enabled also explains that Facebook remains placing’finishing touches’ to the dark manner.

This isn’t the first time Facebook Messenger users are getting dark mode. Earlier in September this past year, some users reported getting dark mode in the Messenger app before it was rolled back.

With Facebook reportedly analyzing the brand new dark mode again, it does not look like the last variation is too far away now. For those who spend hours chatting on the Messenger app may appreciate the dark manner as it tends to be somewhat easier on your eyes. Facebook Messenger now has over 1.3 billion monthly users across the world.
