“There are rogue elements in the society. The website was hacked just for a few minutes. We got back control quite soon,” Prasad stated in the first-ever admission from the government about the BJP website being hacked, at the”Digital India Summit” here.
The minister, however, did not state when the website is anticipated to be back.
The message on the BJP site still reads:”We’ll be back soon! Sorry for the hassle but we are doing some maintenance right now. We will be back online soon!”
The BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya last week stated the site wasn’t hacked.
While acknowledging that the site had experienced some type of”transgression”, Malviya reported the website was down due to a”technical glitch”, perhaps not hacking.
